Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo 2013

This last weekend was the annual Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo, and of course, I was there! 

I took a nice little road trip down with my buddies Danny & Darren

We got in Friday night and took a quick walk around the grounds to get a lay of the land and waste some time until the Weird Al concert.

Things were laid out much better this year, if you remember my post from last year's disaster. This year they had moved all the signings, photo ops and kids zone over to the Big Four, leaving a substantial amount of room in the halls for all of the vendors. Have the con spread over 2 buildings also made things a lot less cramped with plenty of people hanging out outside between the two buildings.

For those that have to deal with anyone who makes fun of you for being a nerd or a geek or anything like that, take a listen to this speech from Wil Wheaton at this very convention.

Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo 2012

Last weekend was the annual Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo. A weekend for nerds, geeks, dweebs and the like to come together for a weekend of entertainment, enlightenment, frivolous spending, amazing costuming and above all else, a chance to be ourselves and not have to worry about the ridicule from the "cool kids". 

I know plenty of people who would laugh, mock or otherwise scoff at the idea of such a convention being fun or popular.
